CHRISTINE ARLT-PALMER

Her work focuses on medium-sized industry, family and foundation companies, family offices as well as the public sector and its associated companies. Together with her team, she occupies the first and second management levels and has special expertise in women in management positions. She has also successfully accompanied the search for advisory board and foundation board positions. Together with Andreas Werner, she has headed the Stuttgart office since 2011.
Previously, she was long-standing managing director of a management consultancy with a focus on foundations and scientific organizations, where she was responsible, among other things, for the development of an excellence program for scientific executives. This was preceded by several years of work at the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations, a competence centre of the Federal Foreign Office. There she headed a secondment programme for specialists and managers to Eastern Europe and an international media development programme for the countries of the former Yugoslavia. The long-standing management of the office of a member of the Bundestag and experience as a municipal representative round off her profile.
After training as a publishing clerk, she studied politics and sociology at the University of Stuttgart.

JACQUELINE BAUERNFEIND

She was a founding partner of Board Consultants International in 2003. Her practice focuses on consumer goods, retail/e-commerce, digital transformation, fashion/luxury/lifestyle and media, nationally and internationally, executives and supervisory boards/advisory boards.
Prior to BCI, she served as Head of Global Consumer Practice Group and Member of the Board at TMP Executive Search and prior to that as Partner and Head of the European Consumer Goods Practice at Spencer Stuart Executive Search.
She began her career at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants as a consultant and project manager.
She completed her studies as a graduate economist at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.
Dr. PETER DIESCH

Partner of Board Consultants International since 2009. He fills positions at the first two management levels, selected experts and supervisory boards/advisory boards.
He mainly works for technology-intensive companies (e.g. mechanical and plant engineering, aerospace / defence, medical technology, automotive, chemicals) but also in the field of logistics as well as services and non-profit organizations.
Previously, he worked in industry for 25 years. Among other things, as a member of the Executive Board of Linde AG, Member of the Executive Board of Tchibo Holding AG, Managing Director of Airbus Deutschland GmbH and Managing Director of Dornier Medizintechnik GmbH. In addition, he held mandates as Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Board of various companies for many years. He began his industrial career at MTU Aero Engines AG.
He studied at the University of Freiburg i.Br. and graduated as Dipl.-Volkswirt with subsequent doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) at the Technical University of Dortmund.

Dr. FLORIAN SCHILLING

Partner of Board Consultants International since 2005. For more than 20 years, he has specialized in advising and searching supervisory board members.
At the end of the nineties, Florian Schilling developed the concept of the efficiency review of supervisory boards (board review) and, as a pioneer in Europe, carried out the first such inventory of the work of supervisory bodies.
Since then, he has had the opportunity to evaluate around half of the DAX supervisory boards as well as a large number of supervisory bodies in the USA and other European countries.
He regularly publishes essays on practical challenges of good corporate supervision.
Florian Schilling began his career in strategy consulting at Roland Berger, moving to Egon Zehnder in 1984, where he was elected partner in 1990. 1992 Change to Mülder und Partner, 1997 sale of Mülder und Partner to Heidrick and Struggles, management of the international board practice of Heidrick and Struggles as Vice Chairman.
He studied economics at the University of Fribourg and received his doctorate, then completed the MBA program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

Dr. MARK UNGER

With Board Consultants International since 2012, Mark Unger previously spent 13 years at Russell Reynolds Associates, where he was Head of Financial Services activities in Germany and Senior Partner in Frankfurt.
During this time, he has successfully completed many high-profile mandates for private and commercial banks, corporate and investment banks as well as asset and wealth management organizations. In addition, his clients include renowned private equity firms as well as companies from the real estate sector, selected strategy consulting firms and corporates.
Together with his team, he fills executive board, supervisory board, and top management positions as well as a wide range of selected top senior specialist roles. In addition, he conducts executive assessments and management appraisals at top management level (executive evaluation).
Previously, he was a director and equity analyst at ABN AMRO and prior to that, Director and financial analyst for consumer goods and retail companies at Sal. Oppenheim Jr. & Cie. At the end of his university studies, he co-founded a company that focused on capital market-oriented software solutions for asset managers and private banks.
After studying in Paris and London, he completed his studies with a ‘Diplom-Kaufmann’ degree in business administration followed by a doctorate at the University of Trier in the field of business informatics.

ANDREAS WERNER

Since 2011, Andreas Werner has headed the Stuttgart office of Board Consultants International together with Christine Arlt-Palmer. The focus of his work is the filling of positions at the first and second management level, in particular for large and medium-sized family businesses, foundations and the public sector. He fills supervisory boards, foundation boards and advisory boards and has been carrying out client-specific measures for executive evaluation and management appraisals for many years.
After studying economics at the University of Hohenheim, Andreas Werner learned the executive search business from scratch over several years at the then German market leader Amrop International Mülder & Partner.
Before joining BCI, Andreas Werner was Managing Director of a subsidiary of Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall AG and the international personnel development and training company hr Team Horst Rückle GmbH.
